The way to beat a 4-3 defense is to be agressive against different coverages. you can try to match-up and exploit the defense. Many teams attempt this by moving a dominate reciever into a slot position so that they can match up a faast reciever on a line backer or a safety. This usually creates mismatches in coverage.

The 4-3 is ran alot to attempt to negate the run. It is a very balanced defense that allows for zones to be ran as well as the creation of blitz packages and man coverage opportunities.
The key to interupting this is usually centered on blocking the middle linebacker and sealing the back side line backer this will create natural running lanes. you can also usually create these lanes through formation shifts and motion. most of the time linebackers and safeties will shift with recievers and running backs allowing you to recognize man coverage vs. zone.

screen passes and out to the flats. when the safties come up to help support the short pass game pop the stop and go over the top. as for running, use the old Buffalo Bills theory, draw plays, any down any place on the field. They use to kill Miami with the draw. Halfback option to the TE works well too as the secondary will come up and the TE will be released by the LB who is stepping up for the RB with the ball.

Well the front seven is designed to stop the run. If you can run counters, outside, bootlegs, it gives you a good chance. It will also depend on how well your line handles zone blocking versus man blocking. If they block zone well you could run trap if the center can block back the nose, and back side guard can get to the second level(MLB) It also depends on their coverages,if they use a strong safety in the box then you will have to out man them or open it up and throw to the TE, WR and slot receiver. Use plenty of motion and crossing patterns.

Using a spread offense is one way, as long as your QB has some time. Of course you can physically out match them as well.

run the ball to the outside, and have an extra TE to pick up the linebacker.
