Don't worry about explaining how seasons work that is clear. Just this temperature difference between the same seasons. ie why is the sun's effect cooler when it is perpendicular to 23.5N than it is at 23.5S?

it is because in the southern hemisphere we are closer to the equator... i.e. the closer to the equator u are the hotter the temperatures...

It is because of the angle the earth's axis compared to its orbit.

The sun's rays, which warm the planet, are more directly pointing closer to the vertical in the southern hemishpere as opposed to the shallower angle in the north.

This means that less heat is absobed by the atmosphere before it hits the earth's surface. Hence it is warmer.

See, I never even mentioned the seasons, did I?

The sun is NOT 'perpendicular' to 23.5 degrees north (or south, for that matter) but, as I explained (I hope) it is more perpendicular in the south than in the north, therefore it gets warmer.

The earth is somewhat closer to the sun in Jan than it is in Jun, so that likely has an influence, if it is true that the southern hemisphere summers are hotter. But, there is certainly a lot more to it. For example, comparing where I live and Auckland, it easily gets 20F hotter here in the summer, even though we are both at about the same latitude.

You can observe coastal stations are generally warmer than interior places.In coastal places the differance beween max.temperature and min.temperature in a day is less than that of interior places.This is due to the adjacent sea area.The sea prevents the adjacent land becoming more cooler in the night.Similarly the southern hemisphere contains more sea area which keeps the southern hemisphere warmer throught the year.Winter is also comparatively warmer in the southern hemisphere.Moreover the sun is very nearer to the southern hemisphere during its summer.These are the reasons.

It's not. The southern hemisphere is cooler. There's much less land mass in the south. It takes much more heat to warm the ocean than the land, therefore, the ocean keeps it cooler.
