yes it can effect you when your trying to conceive, having irreguler periods can mean your not ovulating reguler, you might not be ovulating every month, or if you do ovulate it would be hard for you to predict when your ovulating, Me myslef is tring to conceive with ireeguler periods, and its hard to tell when am ovulating, I am 19 years old and Diagnois with PCOS, Try talking to your DR about your irreguler periods and if you are trying to conceive let him no right away so that he can check you out and find out why your not having reguler periods, my Dr put me on Clomid 50mg, I did it for 2 months, if nothing happens this month I'll be trying clomid 100mg, its kind a hard being young and not knowing if you'll be able to conceive a child, but me and my fiance' is working on it.

it can also me you ovulate at irregular times so if you are trying not to get pregnant don't try to use the rhythm method.

my doctor told me that it just might make it more difficult to pin point ovulation.
