I know...the president is deceiving the American people but sad to say that there are enough rednecks out there to support and vote for him. Look...after his first term, people keep supporting him so much that he is again elected into the office. The president and the vice-president are all making decisions for their oil businesses. Look at the amount of tax they pay. It is the biggest shame for the American people where their leaders are making decision for their own benefits and not the benefit of the people. US is a country in decline...superpower of yesteryear.
The wars are all about oil and not about weapon of mass destruction. Look at North Korea, it has declared openly to the world that it has nuclear bomb, and even publicly announced its nuclear bomb testing. What is the president thinking?...No Oil, No War! US did not even want to bother, and US is always asking Russia and China to act on this matter. To date, US have remained an insignificant player in the North Korea affair. However, for those countries that have oil...US is hungry like hell to interfere. Even when there is no reason, they will make something up. The weapon of mass destruction in Iraq is not false intelligence...it is careful planning of the administration to deceive the American people as they know there are enough rednecks in the country to believe the stupid lies. They are really shooting for $5/gallon of gas for the American people. The administration knows that as long as there is fear in the people, the oil price will rise. So constantly, it keeps reminding the American people about the terrorists. As it sees the American can take more impact on the rising oil price, they are now trying to stage another Iran war to prolong the fear in the American people. The president get rid of all the people who care for the American people like Colin Powell...and put all the "Yes Man" type of people working for the administration. In another word, whatever the president says...the "Yes Man" people will agree, and help the president make all the American people agree whether they like it or not. Heard about the American people arrested when they protested against the Iraq war, banned from traveling, and the government even makes it legal to eavesdrop on their phone conversation? Donald Rumfield did horrible job in the Iraq war...but because he kisses up to the president...the president never want to get rid of him even when everyone is making noise about his lousy management.
Sad to see a once powerful nation fall to its feet. There should be more of the "Brave people" like the Dixie Chicks and President Jimmy Carter to voice their concern over the bad leadership.
In conclusion, I think the American has too many rednecks to support the Iran war. The administration will again deceive the American people with the "false facts". They will tell the American people how bad Iran is and how dangerous Iran will be to the people of US. I guess the president will do it next year right before he steps down. He will start the fire and give the next president super hard time to put the fire out...with the record breaking deficit, it will be harder than ever. As long as the president can create enough chaos and continue rising hell in US, the fear for disruption in oil supply will continue, and the oil price will reach $5/gallon or even higher. Thanks the rednecks for all the support. US will fall into the world greatest hole and they will take forever to climb out of it.

Iran has three times the population of Iraq and four times the land area. We know we went into Iraq with far too few troops to properly control the country after the regime was toppled. Multiply the number of troops we needed for Iraq (estimated to be 400,000-500,00) by at least 2, maybe even 4.
Iran has great control over our oil prices. Any invasion or threat of invasion could lead them to try and cripple our economy.
Iran has great influence over the current situation in Iraq. Any threat to Iran could lead them to greatly inflame the situation in Iraq (if you think it's bad now, Iran can make it FAR worse).
Weapons inspectors withdrew from Iraq in 1989, so we only had suspicions as to the extent of their nuclear/chemical weapons programs. Inspectors have been in Iran until very recently and have hard evidence of the "clandestine and very difficult-to-penetrate nature" of their weapons programs, which leaves no doubt that it was designed to create nuclear weapons. Even worse, the Iranians have proven, demonstrated connections with international terrorist regimes who will undoubtedly use any weapons they acquire against the US and/or Israel.
We do not know the extent of their weapons programs. Iran could have several nuclear weapons. They could be a couple of years away from creating nuclear weapons. We know of some sites where work is being done. We know we DON'T know the locations of all their nuclear facilities, so a preemptive strike is basically out of the question.
Let's hope we don't invade Iran.

SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE TESTIMONY -- ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI.
"
Brzezinski, who opposed the March 2003 invasion and has publicly denounced the war as a colossal foreign policy blunder, began his remarks on what he called the “war of choice” in Iraq by characterizing it as “a historic, strategic and moral calamity. ......
Most stunning and disturbing was his description of a “plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran.” It would, he suggested, involve “Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks, followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure, then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the US blamed on Iran, culminating in a ‘defensive’ US military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan"
he goes on to say that it will be a disaster for the US in the region.
It's remarkable how little publicity this got in the mainstream media.
also in the landmark article "the coming wars" Semour Hersh makes it clear that the US is plannning to use tactical nuclear weapons.
It isn't about time somebody woke up the agenda of the neo-crazies.

That has been part of the master plan of Bush and his cronies all along. First Iraq then Iran and probably Korea also.
Bush will start the war on Iran just prior to the Presidential elections, late this year or early next year. Bush and the Executive will then use the war in Iran as justification to invoke his new Executive Order (which is basically Marshal Law which bypasses congress). They will then use this "war emergency" and the powers of Marshal Law from the Executive Order to postpone the Presidential elections and keep Bush in power as president to continue the drive to his fathers dream of the "New World Order".
Mark my words.

Yes. The threats, accusations, and counter-threats are an exact replay of the buildup to invading Iraq. We're being primed to support another completely stupid attack on a country that does not threaten us. We have forces massed on all of Iran's borders, and off their coastline, as well as special forces operating inside their country. Commander Bush will not leave office without attacking them.

Iraq was not about oil, if it was... the US would have worked with Saddam (like the French and Russians were). In fact he even offered us the same sweetheart deals he was giving them.
But war with Iran seems inevitable, probably in 2-5 years.

Yes, I believe we will be at war with Iran and hopefully they have not already gotten nuclear warheads. Why do people think that this war is all about oil. It was about a dictator that had people killed for having views other than his own. Saddam was evil and got exactly what he deserved to be hung just like he hung others. The president does not go to war just because that's what he wants. He does not get to make decisions at his sole discretion. Saddam had his own Son-In-Laws killed. How could you be any kind of person and put your own daughters through that kind of grief and leave your grandchildren without a father.

Possibly, I mean it's getting there. There are a lot of threats. Whether or not Iran has a small and/or weak army, a war is still a war.
