Chris doesn't sound like a "pub" kinda person. Maybe he should be trying to persuade you guys to go with him to wherever the heck he goes.

What is the matter with him? Does he want to become Billy-no-mates? He should no that the only acceptable excuse for avoiding the colleague work drinks at 5:30pm sharp on a Friday is death. Slap some sense into the man!

He cant go to the pub, his mates at the gay train spotting club are going out for a fun evening in the woods tonight and he wants to go along.

Absolutely not! Maybe he's a recovering alcoholic and it would be the worst thing ever for him to go to a pub.

Well I told him to come straight home, I am sick of him drinking every Friday with you lot, and wasting all his wages in the fruit machine. He is going to cook a nice curry and watch Corrie with me.
