I have been off of birth control for a year now
and my periods didnt start up again until a couple months ago.
(my periods used to be really irregular btw)
anyway, whenever I have my monthly it seems to be more of a brown color and not red like it used to be when I was on birth control.
It's not a heavy flow either.
Do you know what this could be?
I am trying to get pregnant again, could this effect this in any way?

It's quite normal. Since your period isn't regulated, your period isn't strong, so they blood isn't going to be the same color. It's still red, but it oxidizes faster than with a heavy flow. Don't worry, if you're biologically able to have children, then you'll be able have it, your lack of flow will have no affect.
Good Luck!

I had fibroids and my blood was a bright vivid red- not dark at all. Chances are you are completely fine. When you are on birth control your body goes through lots of hormonal changes and now that you have stopped it may take a while for your cycles to- for lack of a better word, "normalize".

If you are trying to get pregnant you should definately find a good OB/Gyn and consult with them on the best way to concieve and have a healthy pregnancy.

Good luck!

It's brown because the blood is not fresh - you probably didn't ovulate during those months if it was brown.
You should get back on the pill to regulate your cycles. If the last pill you took had bad side effects, there are always others to take.

some have problems getting pregnant after birth control,
i would go to a herbalist and see what you can get to get yourself back to your original state of health.
perhaps contact jeans greens in new york state.

Okay my cousin had this and she found out she had fibroid tumors and cysts and had to have them removed . so I would say go see your gynocologist and see what they say and always get a 2nd opinion . good luck to you .
