I am afraid that Greece, like many other former superpowers through time, has had its day on the world stage and may never rise again.

Greece is not the poorest nation of Europe. Have you ever heard of countries like Moldova, Turkey, Bulgaria, Albania or Romania? Greece is not even the poorest country in EU. Of the 25 countries of EU Greece is the no 14 richest. Not a rich country, but CERTAINLY NOT the poorest. Get your facts straight man.
As for your question : I don't think so.

I think you should call it the "formerly mighty nation of Greece." It really hasn't done much of import lately. It's been a long long time since it was a superpower.

Greece is a wonderful place. I love it there, but it is small with limited natural resources and only about 4 million people. I don't think it will ever be a super power again, and I don't think the Greeks want to be one.

Those days are LONG gone. As of now, Greece is the poorest nation of Europe that only sucks money off the EU.

Not sure, but they own every diner (about 20 of them) with in a half-hour's drive from my home, so that's a start.
