What kind of plastic is it? If it is acrylic there is a solvent that you can buy for about $5 from any plastic manufactures, what is nice about a solvent versus a glue is if the material is acrylic then the seam will be invisible. You can find the solvent in both liquid and thickened form from any plastic manufacturers, look up plastic supplies in the phone book. If it is not acrylic, then there is a great epoxy that you can only find at Walmart or Ace Hardware stores (trust me, don't look elsewhere it is useless) called Devcon 2 Ton epoxy. The longest setting time is 8 hours working time of about 30 minutes and will not bubble up like the 5 minute setting ones. Either of these two should work just fine for a piece that large, but I would not suggest any type of glue like super glue or gorilla glue because they won't support weight on plastic.

Is what you are gluing it to also plastic. I'd have to know what it's being glued to to give you the proper answer. Look at this web site for more help.
