I am an atheist. I can speak for myself.

Not all porn is equal. There are some nude pictures of women
that are truly beautiful. I support such so-called porn as a virtue.
However, there is some porn that is very vulgar, such as cumshots,
blowjobs, anal penetration, and fisting. I despise such vulgarity.
It is an insult to sexuality. If it were my choice, such things would
be banned from being listed in internet search engine results.

I'm a Pagan. Are not an atheist but often associated with such by some Christians. Pornography like any addictive substance can be abused. If reader is still '...just curious', about sexualism being a good thing, see my source.

I'll probably get a lot of thumbs down for this but, I think porn is not a good idea whether you are religious or not.
It does desensitize a man in many ways, emotionally and physically.
I know they have done studies on the effect of violent porn and it was determined that men viewing it continuously had a warped sense of rape afterwards.
I also read somewhere (look on the internet, it is out there), that porn starts off slowly and harmlessly enough. First the person will start off with softcore, then move onto hardcore, until that doesn't satisfy them anymore and they seek out even more bizarre forms of porn.
I think it is possible too that after many years of a man or woman (to be fair) being alone and only exposed to pornography and self stimulation will have problems in the bedroom with a partner. They become accustomed to relieving themselves in only one form and their partner can not recreate that scenerio.
I'm atheist. I'm a woman too..so, maybe my opinion doesn't count for much on this subject.
Good luck!

Pornography and atheists? What does the one have to do with the other? Anyway, as an atheist, I think that as long as ADULTS want to have sex in front of a camera, there's nothing wrong with that. But when it's forced, or if it's minors... then that's a crime.

I think pornography is a good thing only when:

1. It is not degrading to either gender.
2. It's high-quality.
3. It has a plot.

How many christaians are true christians LOL. If everyone was religious as the national statistics said they were the porn industry will be bankrupt. The truth is everybody looks at porn no matter what religion. I'm atheist as well and yes I've looked at porn before.

Not nearly as many as all those Christians who don't think that the portrayal of a Man dying in agony is not an abomination.
Probably the same number who view portraits of Biblical characters painted in the nude and call it inspirational.
God bless hypocracy, and all it stands for!

What has religion to do with porn? Pornography is the goggle-eyed opium of worldwide males. Every male thinks porn is a good thing.
