When liberals accuse conservatives of being intolerant, do they realize how hypocritical they sound?

I was just wonderin......lots of liberals question the intellect, morals and views of conservatives but they never bother to look in the mirror.

Why is that?

The conservatives have created a great "catch word" - the word is liberal. However, it is a misrepresentation of the vast majority of Americans. Technically speaking, there are very few "liberals" in America. There are, however, millions of patriotic Americans scattered across America who love their country so much that they are willing to expose wrong doing when they see it.

I am a registered Republican, but neither a conservative nor a liberal. I am an independent thinker, who takes the time to keep up with current events so that I can conduct intelligent discussions about politics. I have never been more ashamed of my party than at this moment.

I would challenge you to enumerate for me anything positive that has taken place over the past six and one half years since the Republicans took control of the White House. The President and the Congress are at their lowest ratings in recent memory. Bear in mind that the Republicans controlled Congress during the first four years.

Patriotic Americans of all political persuasions question the intellect, morals and views of conservatives because of all that has happened over the past few years.

If there is any hypocracy, it has been delivered by the conservatives, who back in the year 2000, promised many wonderful things to the American public, then proceeded to deliver almost none of it. Even the tax cut, designed to help the middle class, will end up being dumped on our children and our grandchildren, due to the record deficits being piled up by this administration.

I am conservative and it is definitely not my life style to hate anyone. We see the average liberal as intolerant because if someone does not agree with them on a political issue they call that person a bigot, homophobe, racist, stupid, redneck, etc. Democrats generally revert to the policy of personal destruction when the can't win in any other manner. It is the liberals way or no way. True conservatives believe if it is not broke, no need to "fix" it. You don't change traditions and laws just because a small minority complain. An example of that would be redefining marriage, not letting a town put up a Christmas display because of one or two people say it offends them, or banning guns because some idiot uses one in a crime. I call 'em like I see 'em, honey.

When a righty puts out a premise that is just plain false, I will call them on it. They are either intellectually dishonest- putting out false info that they know is false, or intellectually lazy- putting out false information because they believe their radio talking heads and Faux News to be absolute dogma and have done no other research.

For instance, when I see version 5 million of the "why do liberals hate america" question, I feel the need to point out that the asker is a shill and an idot who is parroting soebody else because they are too lazy to learn the truth.

Views are fair game here. Morals, too- especially if you selectively apply them (Clinton's affair was the worst thing on earth, Gingrich's affair while prosecuting the president is irrelevant). Intellect is just a way to determine where you are coming from.

The redefining of words and slogan spouting is the way Fascists deceive the populace. The use of words like tolerance to suppress opposition plays on the guilt and uncertainty of the masses so that they go along lest they be labeled intolerant when they question things with real reason instead of the prescribed politically correct way that bars any differentiation in situations.

A lot of conservatives question the intellect, morals and views of liberals. Do they ever bother to look in the mirror at before they accuse liberals of not looking in the mirror, or do they look at a mirror of liberals looking at themselves in a mirror, or look at a mirror in a mirror of themselves not looking at a mirror?

Why do the majority of posts start out with the word 'liberal'? Why can't people ask really intellectual questions that get to the bottom of issues instead of accusatory, pointed questions that do nothing?

They don't care how they sound, as long as they get the power to destroy this country.

And the voters are all to eager to give it to them.

People on welfare and other federally funded social programs are allowed to vote. That means that liberals have purchased their vote. If you do the math, that is the only conlusion available.

I do look in the mirror. I don't portray myself as flawless. I'm a beer drinking, gambling, man-whore. All people are flawed, but I can't have a debate with myself.
