A 6:12 is not bad for a 15-year-old blind swimmer! I don't know your classicifaction but the women's 400 meter paralympic record holders range from a 4:37.62 for an S13 to 5:49.18 for an S6. Those are the pros so you are really not far off considering you've just begun competing in the 400.

Good job, good luck and keep up the hard work!!!

At least in my case I'm not a great distance swimmer but a 6:12 is still a good time even though I'm not familar with the disability ratings and all that. My best 500 free time in competition in a 50 yard pool (actually it's my only time in comp) was a 6:49 but of course that's rather inflated compared to a 50 meter pools because there's a lot more flip turns and you're going faster when you're coming off the walls then when you're actually swimming. So I'd say a 6:12 is a good time and it's also only the second time you've swam it so I'd say you definitely have room for improvement but eventually it becomes a mental thing, not a physical one.

depends on your age and how serious u are. This is my third year i am almost 13 and have a 5:35 but freestyle s my worst stroke. But i also have 3 hour practices everyday including saturdays.
