Bic is gonna be your best bet for a cheap disposable lighter.
I generally do not loose lighters myself, although I do have company that will heist one off of me if they think they can.
However, I've fixed that problem by writing weird quirky words or phrases on my disposable lighters, so they are easy identifiable and most of the time the word or phrase is not one just anyone would tote around, since they are personalized by me with colorful nail polish.

figure it this way: $12.00 will buy one. a fill up is maybe a nickel, about once a week. 2 flints a year, $.60.
i have one that i bought 18 years ago, so do all the math, don't lose it ,and the only two things that are cheaper is free matches from the bar or rubbing two sticks together.
