My understanding is that a mattress has an expiration. Many are only 'good' for 10 to 15 years. When you have a hard time getting comfortable on the mattress to begin to fall asleep it is time to ditch it and get a real GOOD mattress. Be aware that better to good mattresses sell for $800 up.
