Moving A Washing Machine

Check the load. When it is shaking badly lift the lid and let it stop rotating. Chances are that the wet cloths are not evenly distributed in the drum. Things like towels and blue jeans are heavy enough to throw the washer around if they are on the same side of the drum. Spread the wet cloths out and close the lid. That will re-start the spin cycle. If you have evened everything out the violent shaking will be gone. It will still vibrate but should not make a noise. I am assuming that all four washer legs are firmly on the ground

The minimal shaking of the machine is to be expected while on spin cycle. Sometimes if the machine is overloaded or perhaps you are washing something heave, such as a rug, it doesn't balance well and can make the machine to do that even more so. If it happens on normal wash and most of the time, you should be able to adjust the balance on the washer and make sure it is sitting correctly before you start washing. They usually have pegs or some kids of other support for legs that are adjustable.

OK. There is 1 of 2 things fitted to a front loader to stop this from happening, either a special computer controlled counter weight fitted to the back of the drum or a concrete block hung under the machine, there is nothing you can do about this yourself, call the repairers and let them take a look.

Check the manual. Chances are the feet are adjustable. (like a screw that you can move up and down) If you have a level place it on the machine to see if it's perfectly flat.

Having sex on the washer during the high vibe cycle will tend to reduce the movement (of the machine).

It also gives new meaning to the phrase, "Doing the laundry".

I would try to get 2-way adhesive strips and put them on the feet of the washer.
