There are other countries in the world with money,and the
U.S. lost great creditability with Iraq. I would say not.
Besides,what's the point of economic sanctions when after
a few years of starving the people the Americans go charging
in looking for imaginary WMDs?
Not that I want Iran to have nuclear weapons,but the fact is the
President of Iran isn't really all that more dangerous than the
President of the United States.

Sanctions is not the answer. The only place sanctions ever worked was South Africa and 80% of their population was working against the government.
Remember the Iraq-Iran War? The U.S. supplied the weapons and let the locals shoot it out. We need more American ingenuity like that.
