Mineral makeup is really good for acne-prone skin. If you go to Everydayminerals.com you can get a sample kit that includes 3 foundations (so you can match yourself), a blush and a concealer. All you have to pay is shipping. Clinique has some good foundation for skin that breaks out.
The best concealer for scars and redness is one that's green. It neutralizes the red. put it on before your foundation, "pat" it on there so it doesn't flake. Physicians formula has a good one, it's a green stick that's mineral. If you are wanting a full coverage makeup, Mac has some good ones (studio fix is good). You can always try dermablend!

I would highly suggest going for mineral powder foundation - try Bare Minerals or Arbonne's mineral powder foundation. The coverage is excellent and all of my clients say that they have less breakouts now that they are using mineral powder instead of liquid foundation.
For a concealer, I would try bare Minerals Multi-Tasking Minerals. I prefer Summer Bisque because it has an SPF. Use a concealer brush to apply under the eyes or on blemishes or scars. If you prefer a creme concealer, try Arbonne's new concealer. I prefer to use Bare Escentuals and Arbonne because they are more natural and do not have the fillers and chemicals that other products use.
Good luck!! :)

I love this question! I love makeup too, btw. So I spent last night doing damage to my bank account at Sephora on just this question. I spent a lot of $$, but for a lot less you can get great success from Neutrogena's Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup, its got salicylic acid that will help you keep that new clear skin and help you fight the bumps. Also, Neutrogena is good because you can buy it at your local drug store for under $15, they have a great reputation and carry an excellent variety of skin tone matches.
Remember the foundation makeup adage:1 shade darker, 10 years older, 1 shade lighter, 10 years younger.

If you are looking for a fancier, more expensive solution, they are out there for sure, but I would start here.
Good Luck!

I have a similar problem.... I went to the department store and had my foundation/consealer matched.... It's a little more expensive, but it beats trying to match it yourself.. Also, I don't use foundation on my whole face, just the trouble spots...I have a skin condition that causes little bumps on my cheeks and bit of red... So, I use it there and that's it.. You don't have to put it all over your face if it matches your skin tone... I also absolutely LOVE physicians formula blush/ and the powder. It's at any local drugstore and it's cheap! You might want to try a more gentle of a cleanser if you are having breakouts.. I use cetaphil/creamy cleanser and I have seen big improvements in my skin...I have combo skin...

some concealers come in green, which helps fight redness. you might want to get a heavier coverage foundation. remember to put concealer on after the foundation, or the concealer will just be wiped away.
