I've asked a few, but in depth good questions, mostley about immigration. I would have to say 90% of the answers I recieved were just nonsense or from people who do not have a clue, or have been brainwashed. If We... ( People with common sense), cannot convince the other idiots on this site, how can we convince the idiots in our government?

Who should we blame for the condition our country is in, the politicians or the idiots that vote them into office?

Let me start by saying: Damn good question!

It's the idiots that vote them into office.

But given the fact that the "people with common sense" can't run for office in the U.S. without at least $25 million, before they get attention from the “media”, who's fault is it we only have a few scant selections to vote for?

First of all, where did you get the license that gives you the exclusive right to judge whose opinions should be considered idiotic or brilliant? Different people have different opinions and ideologies. Just because they might disagree with your viewpoint doesn't necessarily invalidate their convictions.

Second, when it comes to blame, we're all guilty. Democracy will soon be referred to in the past tense. Until there is a true revolution in this country, politicians will make decisions based on their personal agendas and Americans will blindly vote.

You have a point. There are a few real questions here or there, but if you venture into the politics or anything that only requires an opinion the maturity level drops precipitously.

Keep in mind there are a lot of bored 13-15 year olds trolling the site.

You make a good point. Look at all the squabbling we do, and look at the politicians. I don't know about you, but I see a mirror image.

The worst part is: asking a question about politics on Yahoo Answers is completely pointless, because even good questions do not have true answers. They are all opinions, unless you ask a question about trivial facts (like who was president in 1976).

Why do you bother to ask questions here? Frustration is better than boredom perhaps.

Who is to blame? Ultimately the politicians, they are the deciders. The public just needs to be better informed at election time.

Yahoo screwed up big time when they took down the message boards. This could have been a decent site, but since the other boards closed down, trolls like myself post here. It's fun to see who has a sense of humor and who doesn't. I'll put you down in the "who doesn't" column.

Our elected representatives are elected by us, to represent us. You need to make them aware of your opinions so they can represent you. If they don't know what you think, they can't represent you.

That said, many on this forum are either very far left, or very far right, and even those who aren't tend to be set in their views. This forum is not really to change other people's minds, but to broaden their views and your own. Take it with a grain of salt and have some fun with it. I just like hearing other people's opinions, and being able to express myself. If I make someone think about something in a way they hadn't before, great. If not, no problem either.

The answer to your question can be found at the intersection of Wall Street and Madison Avenue.

This is the Politics (aka Mudslinging) area.

What did you expect?

Who should we blame?

Try not asking questions that fix blame. It serves no use.

I believe it is both, we have idiots running so naturally idiots are going to vote for idiots... kind of natural selection in the office.
