Is that normal? I've had the cramps and a little brown spotting. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative? Whats up with this?

I had my baby last year in march. I quit bleeding about 4 weeks later and had a regular period about 3-4 weeks after that. Then it took me another 6-7 weeks before I had another one. I was FREAKING OUT!!! I've always been very regular and I was so worried that I had gotten pregnant again (even though I was on the IUD). My doctor explained it just takes a while for your cycle to get back to normal.

well, I'll tell ya quick what happend with me. last year I had a baby in july, and I got one or two periods after that. and then nothing for months! I even went to the doc and had tests done, like thyroid test, and plevic ultrasound to check for cysts and all kinds of stuff. turned out, It was just my hormones! so I started exersisingvigerously 4 days of the week around october, tunred out in january i found out I got pregnant in november. so basicly it took some exersise to get my body to ovulate, if I wouldn't have gotton pregnancy I'm sure I would've had my period. so sometimes, it really just does take a while for your hormones to get back to normal. good luck to you, congrats on your new baby!

Your periods may be irregular the 1st few months after having a baby, but you may also be pregnant again. Take a test

First of all, congratulations!

It's very normal to have irregular periods post-partum, even for several months.

The cramps and spotting might mean you were ovulating for the first time.

it is possible to get pregnant again soon after you have your baby, even if you're not having periods or if you're breastfeeding. but this is extrememly normal. it will probably take a while for your body to return to a completely normal state and get every thing back on track. congratulations! =)

yeah its possible for you to get pregnant again that's why they tell you to wait six weeks. And your cycles will not be regular for a couple of months. Give it time, your body is still adjusting. Good luck, and if you still think your pregnant get a blood test.
