I watched the TV Show a couple of times and I really liked it. However, I'd like to know if the dialogues are "clinically" correct. Not just the diagnosis but the treatments, the 2 or 3 mistaken pre-diagnosis, etc. This could help me to watch the program with an enhance credibility.

There have been a few times on the show when the diagnosis wasn't presented in an entirely correct form (go to imbd.com and search House, M.D.), but other than that, everything is correct. This is according to my uncle who has an extensive number af years in medicine behind him who sat down and watched a couple of episodes with us. Of course, somethings are spiced up for entertainment value, but it just makes the show that much more interesting!

"House" is about relationships, with the premise being that "House" is a very skilled "diagnostician" who handles extremely difficult to diagnose cases. There is a decided amount of "drama" added to the story line, like when he realizes what is going on and then ALWAYS leaves the room! I was thrilled recently when I got a diagnosis correct before the end of the show - the one where the patient was a "chimera" that had two different genomes because of absorbing a twin in utero. I figured it out because of watching an episode of CSI: Las Vegas, which told me about the existence of this condition.

I sure hope not, lol. You walk in there with a headache and you end up having some diseases noone ever heard of, lol. I love the show but I dont know how accurate it is. I have been to hospitals a million times and I never encountered any doctor who acts like any of those doctors.

The part about most doctors being arrogant a**holes is pretty accurate.

no one hospital would have that no. of unusual cases that for sure and no doctor would ever be that obtuse with his patients or their families
