I hope it's not real important information that you will be erasing.
I think most computers if you have a cd rom, you can erase what is on there. Ours does.
Though I do no think that you can do it to a store bought cd dvd movie or music.

Burn it with a lighter?! worked once but only the heat not the flame.

or try to scratch it in a strieght line from the center to the edge it would appear that the drive did it while ejecting

What would be on the cd that you want to erase?

Just erase it like you would a RW disk...this will make it unreadable...I hope you like enemies! A friend wouldn't do that...

You cant.

Anything that would destroy the data on a CDR/DVDR would leave physical marks.
