Well you can't get cancer by sleeping with your bra on, that just doesn't even make sense. You should do whatever is most comfortable to you. I sleep without one because it's more comfortable. There is no way you can get cancer sleeping with a bra on!!! Most people sleep without i think.

I have never heard of getting cancer by sleeping with your bra on. Unless you are unusually large, take that baby off at night. If I am not going anywhere during the day, I don't wear one at home either, but I am not large breasted. I am a child of the 70's when bra burning was all the rage!

I was watching Tyra's panty show when it aired and she had some very useful info for women. The lady that was on, I believe she was a gyno, said that it's ok to sleep w/your bra on. It helps keep them from sagging as another poster stated. She also said to dry your undies in the dry because it helps kill germs and bacteria thatmay have been there. Personally for my bras if it has an underwire I don't dry them in the dryer because I've had bad experiences with the wire becoming exposed and poking me.

Hope this is an answer you were looking for.

I did hear that sleeping in your bra (especially underwired ones) was linked to cancer but I really don't know how truthful that is.
I don't sleep in mine although I'm fairly small. I think it would just be uncomfortable. I think it's a bit unhygeinic as you sweat so much at night - surely you'd have to have a specific night time bra?!

I grew up hearing that you should take it off too, but within in the past couple years I've been wearing mine, I keep hearing people say its better because gravity effects you even while you are sleeping so to prevent sagging you should wear a bra at night.

It won't cause cancer, that's just a myth, however they can be uncomfortable to sleep in. For some people ( esp. those who are larger on top) you really need the support even while sleeping, especially if you toss and turn a lot in your sleep. Lots of movement can cause the tissue in your breast to stretch or even tear. If you need the support, I woould suggest gettign a cami with a built in shelf bra or a simple bra with no underwire.
I would suggest something like these:

I don't think sleeping with your bra on is listed as a cancer risk. My mother always taught me to take it off like her... and she has breast cancer, so NO correlation there.

I say do whatever you feel comfortable with. I sleep with mine off because I have gigantic boobs and the kind of bras I wear are very uncomfortagle to sleep in. On the other hand, I have cousin with barely there boobs and they sleep with their bras on.

Its better to sleep with it off, your body needs to breathe and restore itself while u sleep. I use to sleep with my bra on, and I was having constant chest pains. when I went to my doctor, she told me that my bra was constricting my chest while I was sleep. And sure enough, when I started taking off my bra, my chest pains went away. Hope this helps!

The only time I ever slept with it on was when I was pregnant. Now, it would seem silly to wear a bra and nothing else! :o
