You will eventually reach your mail limit on the NTL server and incoming mail may be bounced / outgoing mail will be refused.

Yes you will eventually fill up your server's mailbox. Why not have your laptop leave mail on the server, so you keep a copy when out and about, and have your home PC download completely to keep the server clear.

You will want to periodically check the server itself and see how much mail you have there. If your mailbox on the server reaches capacity, your ISP will quit delivering mail to you. Don't forget to check your sent items and trash (on the server) too..
