find the cross sectional area of the circle, then multiply that by the height to get the volume of the water.

THen use the density of water to find the number of gallons.

Here is the formula for calculating the gallons;
Top diameter x bottom diameter x height.
Take this number and multiply it by 7.85. This will give you the cubic feet in your pool.
Then, multiply that number by 7.48 to convert the number of cubic feet to gallons.
So, in your case, it is- 18 x 18 x 4.33 (52 inches expressed in feet) This is 1402.92.
1402.92 x 7.85 = 11012.922 cubic feet
11012.922 x 7.48 = 82,376.7 gallons
So it will take aprox. 82,400 gallons of water to fill your pool.
