I've always been fascinated by time travel even though I don't know if it's true. I see it in movies a lot but is there really a way to go back in time?? How??

There's currently nothing realistically close that could take something back in time. The closest you'll get is theories of parallel universes where it may be possible to create a rift in time. Even then there are no real accepted theories that say it's possible.

For now you might have to stick to Back to the Future and Stay Trek for your fascination :)

cant do that :(
coz when scientists talk about going back to the past their basic idea is that:
light reflects off everything on earth. This light is moving away from earth at some speed. So this means that if we position ourselves in space so that this light is approaching us then we can see everything that happened long ago. But we cant change the past or anything coz our past is just light waves travelling away from us at the speed of 3*10^6 m/s (not sure abt the figure now :P)
dont know about the future but if we go by the above reasoning then the future cannot even be viewed in the present time coz something that hasnt happened yet cant have reflected off light.
btw i think by light i mean all sorts of waves and rays, like uv, infra red etc..

There is a way to go back in time which is if you go faster the the speed of light which is 299 792 458 m / s or 3.0 * 10 to the power of 8

Well, we can't do it yet. But there are a lot of theories on it. For instance faster than light travel would theoretically allow us to go back in time. The problem is that we are having difficulty getting that fast. There are some things that can travel faster than light, but we aren't anywhere near getting people going that fast. try out that reference

"The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."

( from The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, originally written around 1070 A.D.)

Currently, the only way to go back in time is through memories. Time is a scalar. It's a one-way trip, so make the best of it.

Time travel is still not a viable option in terms of science. It's decades away from realization.

Best we can do now is through the use of digital camcorders & cameras to capture time in an instant, and relive those memories through our vivid description of them and close conversations with parties present at that time too.

Like some people have mentioned there are theories,
One interesting theory is time strings... if you imagine time not as a ridged constant but as a string of time that is variable and flexible. This string could loop back on itself to a previous time frame with, and with an enormous gravitational force create a "rift" in time to a previous time period,

Problems...
Creating an enormous gravitational force.
Being unaffected by this gravitational force as we passed through this rift.
Controlling the loop in the string of time.

Solve those 3 major problems and were 2% of the way back to history. Of course thats assuming this theory is correct.

i time travel a lot. it's actually quite simple once you learn how. now if you decide to follow these directions, you do so at your own risk.

to travel in time you'll need:
1 medium size brick
your head

step 1: pick out a medium size brick. try to find one with uniform density.
step 2: grasp brick in dominant hand
step 3: assume common bricking stance
step 4: swing brick at head
step 5: travel anywhere in time you'd like

It is encouraging to see that the vast majority of answers to this common question is, no. The past is nothing more than a record of events that have taken place, or memories of them. The future will unfold as events take place, there is nothing there to go to.

IF U R IN ANGER OR TENSION THAN COUNT THE NUMBERS FROM 10 TO 1.
u can never go back in time and if we could than i would be the first person who would correct my mistakes
