That's what Pink Floyd does best! I've got 9 different Pink Floyd albums and they all will gut kick you at some point. I love their music but sometimes I have to just turn it off and walk away and listen to something else, do something else, or watch something else because their music is so meloncholy that it'll drive you nuts. The two that hit me the hardest are the last two songs on their last album:
The Division Bell -
"Lost for Words"
"High Hopes"

But they have written any number of songs that'll get to you. Anything off of Dark Side of the Moon, "Wish You Were Here", "On the Turning Away", " The Post War Dream"... The list could go on forever.

I got a little depressed because I realized that I've lived out over 1/7 of my life...

Then I listened to some Syd Barrett and wondered what Arnold Layne liked to wear.

Most of pink floyds lyrics make me think. Dark side is all about every day life and sometimes life is a little depressing if you take to much notice of it. Espeically getting older."You run and you run to catch up with the sun but its sinking"

this is a tossup: on the Turning Away. superb from tender Sound of Thunder. comfortably Numb. The guitar solo conjures up plenty loneliness. The musical genius of purple Floyd is so obvious in this one for me. severe Hopes. i like the bells interior the history. Take It lower back. great music. choose You have been right here. "we are all in simple terms, 2 lost souls living in a fish bowl. year after year." great line! mom. Edit: Blue gentle, David Gilmour. Love and Anger via Kate Bush, David Gilmour on guitar.

Nobody told me when to run and yes I missed the starting gun but then again, life isn't a race. Turtles win over rabbits anyway.

Never seriously depressed, but yes, esp. as I get older, I think about the words 'ten years have got behind you' and 'hanging on in quiet desperation'.
