B. I tend to speak my mind as a rule regardless of the opinions of others. If the question strikes me as important to me and I feel I might have something to say that is worthwhile. I cruise the questions...looking for something worth answering.

If I come up with a cool, snappy answer, then I just answer without looking at the others. If I think the question is interesting, and don't have a quick answer, I scroll down and get an idea of what everybody else said. It's cool, though, when you answer quickly then read all the answers and find that you agree with everybody else.

The points are there so people can earn them by participation. There's a big difference between earning them and gaming for them. When you treat Yahoo! Answers as a game, it doesn't help anyone to find the answers that they want. Reducing this site to a game also means that questions you ask are more likely to get poor answers.

I usually try to read all the answers first unless there are more than one page. If what I have to say has already been said then I don't answer.

I was wondering this myself. I always answer the question, then glance at the other answers. If I see a good one, I give it a thumbs up. If I really like the question, I'll star it. *

I do all of the above, except D. I like to answer things that are realistic and not something that can be explained in one sentence
