Hi all,

I just sign up with sbc as isp from comcast.

I got this product: 2701HG-B
Is this product be treat as wireless?
In other words, can I have a connection wireless? if so, how can I do that? I have a XP.
I only got the change to connect with the ethnernet cable.

Could somebody guide me please,
I am willing to learn.

That is a 2Wire ADSL2+ router/modem. It should have 4 local eithernet ports and 802.11g wireless capabilites.

If you follow the installation directions it should be no problem to setup and get going. If you need additional help you can get if from SBC or http://2wire.com

However, the instuctions and CD packed withit have STEP BY STEP guidance.

If you switched SBC would have sent you whatever type of modem you asked for. And the numbers things does help, does it say anything like 2-Wire or SpeedStream?

Otherwise you can call them and they can send someone over to set it up for you, we did that once and it didn't cost us a thing.
