I would say the nuclear warfare, because the biggest threat to mankind is mankind itself. I mean, we've been occupying Iraq for quite some time now, because of the suspection of nuclear weapons when there are none, so the only way they'll get us to leave is to start developing some.
Natural disasters can be likely, but they won't happen for a very long time; the asteroid apothos won't hit us for another 2 or 3 centuries, and the earth's magnetic field won't turn for a whole millenium, but humans aren't that patient.

No gamma ray burst or asteroid or something like that for the period of my opinion. like each and every substantial series stars the sunlight is getting slowly brighter and warmer because it a protracted time. that is expected to be 30% brighter and warmer now than whilst the Earth first formed over 4 billion years in the past, yet Earth's temperature has remained consistent because of the fact existence methods are transforming into to be rid of the greenhouse gasoline CO2 from the air at merely the linked fee mandatory to maintain the temperature in stability. The concentration of CO2 interior the air is now particularly low, whether up somewhat interior the final two hundred years simply by human pastime. yet in yet another billion years or so the sunlight would be so vivid and warm that for the period of spite of 0 CO2 interior the air the Earth gets too warm for existence and the oceans will boil away. this could take place various billion years until now the sunlight runs low sufficient on hydrogen in its middle to instruct right into a crimson massive famous individual. that is been pronounced that stepped forward technologies we are able to anticipate to have in a million years could have the skill to alter Earth's orbit and circulate it a sprint farther remote from the sunlight, wherein case existence on earth ought to proceed for some billion extra years until the sunlight enters the crimson massive section and burns the Earth to a crisp.

Grab a Bible and read the last book in the Bible, Revelations. It will tell you about the 'end times', and many of the things listed that will happen before the end of time on earth have already happened. The Bible states that not even the angels in heaven know the timing of the Lord's return. However, when it does happen. THAT will be the end of THIS earth as we know it.
You can give ME a thumbs down if you want but you can't argue against God!
Come soon Lord Jesus!

World famine and the nuclear war that would ensue after. Mankind is a relatively weak species so a world famine would cause the world governments to collapse sinking us into chaos. The chaos would eventually lead to a nuclear war..

The end of the world will happen when the food sources run out and the water becomes undrinkable. Mankind will survive all disasters as long as there is still food to eat and water to drink.

so, do you mean the end of man or the end of the world?
what about a few million years down the line when we evolve into something else, does that count?
the end of man will probably be caused by man.
the end of the world will probably be when the sun starts to expand and earth is no longer in the Goldie locks zone.

Do you know Hubert Reeves? He's an expert on the topic and claims that human race will most likely extinguish long before life dies on this planet. My understanding is we will continue to overuse and pollute our ressources until life on earth becomes impossible for us human beings and other creatures will continue until the planet is burnt from moving always closer to the sun and then it will move away from it until it freezes again. Of course, we might know terror until then: poverty, nuclear tragedy, etc. I don't think we can expect to see humans on the planet for another 1000 years...

The end of humanity will come sooner than you think. We are in the process of inventing our own successor. Computers will be smarter than us in a couple of decades. They will rule the planet. Maybe they'll keep some of us for pets or zoo displays.
