When someone ask something, is because he/she wants a serious answer, may be wrong, but serious.

Because the question may strike them as silly. Relax, there are plenty of other people out there that will respond with a more serious answer. Enjoy the silly responses... they can brighten your day.

1. They are too uninformed to give a true answer.
2. They just want the points.
3. Some people just do not choose to take the questions seriously.
4. Some questions can be totally ridiculous and it is hard at times to differentiate between them.

Listen to these whiners..."Not everybody here gives serious answers boo-hoo." Come on! Can you imagine this site without clever of funny answers? It would suck! It's not like the silly or clever answers are preventing you from answering the question seriously if you like, and noone is denying them the serious answers. Get over it.

It will depend on the individuals who judge whether the answers are "silly" or not.

It depends on whether is it the person purposely wants to answer it silly. If so, it's because

1. A self-relaxation method.
2. Entertain a (which they feel) silly question.

Not everyone who asks a question want a serious answer. Sometimes the question isn't even asked as a serious question. And sometimes the question might be serious but is asked so completely wrong that it can be taken as being funny.

Some people ask silly questions on purpose , and sometimes its hard to tell the real ones from the idiots.

I kinda like the silly ones, every now and then. It helps you realize we're all only human and should lighten up a little and stop worrying about our lives and just live!
