From the end and when I see a tube of toothpaste that others have squeezed from the middle I feel compelled to "fix it".

from the end because if u squeez it from the middle the toothpaste at the end gets stuck.

But you didn't ask which end. People who answer that they squeeze from the end might do it by the nozzle.
Also, if you squeeze from the end then it will eventually get so that you're squeezing from the middle.

I squeeze it from the middle (I know the shame, lol). When it starts getting low I push it all up from the end.

i always say i'm gonna squeeze it from the end when i get a new tube but i always end up squeezing from the middle lol
