Ghandi is not George W.
I doubt he was obsessed over his legacy.

No and Yes.
No } because he was not concerned about history. History is created and not written. History is past how can Gandhi write for his place. It is his good work that gave him that place in History.
Yes } Gandhi did not care about the future of fellow Hindus!
He was more concerned about Indians (comprising Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jain's etc; etc;)

Gandhi is the only politician who was totally concerned about the nation, where both Hindus & muslims resides. But other politicians either concern about Hindu or Muslims, not for country. Actually Gandhi was not a politician, he was a statesman.

Ifully agree with you. He wanted international fame like noble prize. But world leaders recognized his selfish ambitions as he betrayed hindus. During 1947-48 when Pakistan Army had initiated notorious combing operation to kill hindus and loot their properties, Gandhi insisted that Rs 60 Crore be given as aid to Pakistan. Pakistan strengthened their Army and reinforced the notorious killings and genocide of hindus with this money and dragged hindus out from Kashmir and west Indianow Pakistan
Ask this question to survivors of genocide, not a few jokers or their political masters who have no feelings for the departed hindu souls

Gandhi was definitely the most important freedom fighter and the fortunate to get freedom to India in his lifetime. It would not have been possible without the parallel revolts by others who laid their lives like Bhagatsingh,Nethaji etc...
A man of non-violence having achieved freedom he did not drive home the advantage. While others were not willing to give an inch, his methods have definitely cost us dearly.
It is perhaps the attitude of Hindus in general.,not only Gandhi but many previous rulers and leaders.

If this is then its wrong.

Let me give u some more intresting facts abt him.
He is the only man with will power not atomic power who led world to a new fact by proovin that war can also win without any weapons.
For more detail u can give me a call on 9925834700,
I will explain you whole thing so ur doubt will defenately clear, coz if i began to write abt ur query then this page will become too short.
In short I will tell u only 1 thing that no one is 100% perfect.
And if We pray to Lord Krishna for giving us philosophy of Gita nd released pandvas and gokulvasi from devil rule, then
we have to make temple for Mr.Gandhi who has given us an indepedance for british rule. and this thing is fact it is not only listed in ethics like mahabharat but we and world all know it that this thing was take place in A.D1947

I don't know what his true motivation was but something has occurred to me about him. He was very fortunate that the army he stood up to wearing only a loincloth and unarmed was a Christian army. Imagine that same scenario with a Muslim army, or a Fascist army or a Communist army.
Instead of being remembered for his bravery standing up to the whole British army he would have ended up a stain on the road. I often wonder if that famous incident actually said more about the civility of the British than the bravery of Gandhi.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly called "Mahatmaji", was concerned about the fellow Indians and their future. He strived hard to do way with varnashra dharma and tried his utmost to uplift the shudras.
As regards the Hindu- Muslim problem, he wanted to bring them together and bind them in a bond of brotherhood.
Unfortunately , people of his own community misunderstood him and assasinated him.He died so that we, Indians could live in peace and harmony and make his dreams a reality.
