the chicken. god created it. if it was the egg, it wouldnt of survived as it would be cold.

According to creationists who believe in Biblical inerrancy, birds were created "on the fifth day" as juveniles or adults. Since there is no reference to the creation of eggs, they presumably were then made by chickens after wards by the normal process. Therefore, the chicken came first.
However, as species change over time, in the process of evolution, the first modern chicken was the offspring of the last direct ancestor of domestic chickens to not share that classification . Therefore, a non-chicken did, in fact, lay the first egg. [11] The question now would be: Which came first, the Red Jungle fowl or the egg?
But personally i think it was the chicken.

Well, if you believe in evolution (which I don't) it would be the egg because eventually the chicken ancestors would lay an egg. An if that egg became a chicken the egg would have to come first.
Crap the guy ahead of me just beat me!!! Oh well, 2 points for me! :)

That question has been ask so many times that in a fit of rage I've broken all the eggs and killed and eaten all of the chickens. So you don't need to worry about it any more !
