I can think of no way this will be of any benefit to any arab in palestine. Does the world have any kind of an obligation to help bring peace there....or should we just say forget it and let the Israelis do as they will and Hamas do as it will and just build a wall around the place and never look at it again?

Israel has tried on a number occasions to reconcile its differences with the Arabs. No luck. Have you ever tried to negotiate with an Arab? I did on several occasions....no luck!
Hamas is killing Fatah members on Palestinian land. Does it really matter to you if it called a civil war, just plain war, murder, whatever. People are dying by the hundreds and this is the way it has always been with the Arabs. They love to fight.

I do think the world has a big responsibility. So far it has been only lip service, and an immensely unbalanced treatment (all weapons and money to Israel, no backing whatsoever for the people in the camps).

The world will never be able to do so though. How can the US allow Arabic countries to be part of the peace keeping and diplomacy in that area ? Or the Chinese or the Russians or who ever ?

He who controls the Middle East has the key to all energy resources and is the superpower - and to be able to have the key you need a hop and strong alley in the middle.

Israel is a client state. As long as its an important client, the palestinians can just about forget it.

Of course, the longer they get ignored, the more desperate their situation gets, the bigger the problem becomes.

I don't think we do have an obligation to stop what's happening in Gaza. They elected a terrorist organization to lead their government, let them lie in the bed they made. The West Bank is another matter though. If Hamas takes that then the ensuing conflict could take down the rest of the Mideast. Let's consider Gaza lost and help the West Bank.

Its funny that we think that today’s Israel have anything to do with the Israelites. The real children of Israel (or Jacob) are today’s Palestinians and today’s Israelis are pretend Jews from Europe... Like we did with the Indians in America, they are doing with the Palestinians.

Have any suggestions buddy?

Looks like Hamas is not interested in any other influence in Gaza besides its self.

Being America, we will somehow get involved in another country' dilemma.. Let them fight their own and save our soldiers.
