I created all the pages in Dreamweaver and I can open them from my desktop fine (although the site comes in a little big). It's thru godaddy.com.

Your domain must be hosted somewhere. I presume this has been done.

Your hosting company will have provided you FTP (file transfer protocol) information to achieve this.

In Dreamweaver and other web editors (except Microsoft Front Page), FTP is the protocol used to upload.

Go into the Dreamweaver upload section, fill in the FTP information (FTP address, sub file if any, user account name, password) and it will take it from there.

Be sure to use the proper user name and password. Often the user name and password for FTP is not the same as the one for the Domain Name or for accessing a control panel.

Dreamweaver is exactly what you need to make a website. The thing is, it is a pretty complicated program and takes a lot of getting used to. If i recall dreamweaver may have some templates that should make it easier. I am not sure though. And to put it up on a server I can't help you there sorry.

The above posted answer is right!

Dreamweaver has a in-built facility to upload all your website files like (.jpg, .gif and html etc) files to your site using the FTP protocol. Open up your dreamweaver then goto site maintenance and set it up ( during this process you'll be asked for the password and your account name in the FTP server).

After this is done all the files (if they exist) in your remote FTP account will be transfered to a local folder. Then you can modify these files and add any new files to this local folder & this folder contents will be automatically synchronized with the remote FTP folder.

If you want to develop a dynamic website rather than a static one, goto http://php.net for more details!
