Gloria is her mother in law and Lauren knows that Gloria is not evil spirited, just .......well stupid! LOL.
You may not be old enough or have watched Y&R long enough to know that Lauren has plenty of mistakes in her past as well so I am sure she is not one to throw stones.
Sending in that nude picture of Paul to the skin magazine years ago was pretty low and that is mild compared to a few things Lauren had done in her past.
So yes she has matured a lot and is a pretty good and honest woman now, but that has not always been the case. So she can somewhat relate to Gloria.

After tuning in yesterday after missing about 2 weeks of it, i was wondering the same thing.
I came to the conclusion that she is not so much standing up for Gloria but for her hubby, Michael, cause Michael knew about it a long time ago and if Gloria is found out, Michael, would be in trouble as well.

I think she feels she is stuck between a rock and a hard place because she is married to Micheal.
The character of Lauren is being written off the show soon.And the storyline is going to be around how Micheal and Lauren kept Sheila captive.

Honestly, she's probably torn at what to do. If she turns in Gloria, then she's going to lose her husband. What would you do in this situation? It's tough when someone you love is directly involved.
