I have seen some hindi movies where Amitabh and Rajni are together(HUM, Andha Kanoon)...but honestly, I think Amitabh is better actor than Rajni?
Another thing is, people who say Amitabh is better actor then why Rajni charges more than Amitabh for acting in a movie(Like Sivaji..he took lot)?

at this age also his dance,acting and chemistry with the actress of any age is as kool as the chemistry between rani-abhi.........
he is amazing at this age .
he has never let age b a barrier of his profession......

It's like comparing two very very good things in life! Both are so good, it's difficult to judge, though it seems Amitabh has an edge, from his global presence! Rajni, in real life, comes through as an introvert!

I feel Rajni is much better than Big B........'cause the Tamil hero is basically a lovely and really GUD person, he does diff characters on the screen..... If u jus' take a look Hindi movies normally do not showcase our Indian culture whereas Tamil movies do! Also Rajnikanth acts in movies which have a message in them! He is very choosy and he is a person who grows younger day by day whereas the Big B doesn't!

Amitabh Bacchan is more versatile actor than Rajnikant. See & compare in the movies where they are workign together. Rajni is dependant upon mostly his gimmicks & trademark stunts, while AB innovates newer pradigms of acting every time. Can you expect a "Black" from Rajni, or can you expect a "Nishabd" from him.
AB has been good at every kind of role, be it the angry young man, romantic young man, comic sequences. His dialogue delivery & baritone is unique. All my votes to AB. Sorry Rajni fans.

Amitabh is always better bcoz he is better person at heart. Also Amitabh has his fans in all age while rajnikant is limited in age group between 12 and 35 only. This is bcoz of his wiered STYLE :-)

Look Kamal is the best actor without any question, You agree North Indians, Kamal is Four time national awardee, and he has 18 film fare awards.
So the race is for Big and Rajni. See Hindi films are watched by five or six hindi speaking states, then Gujarati,Punjabi,Marathi,east india have very bad cinema field so every north india has no choice but to watch Hindi movies, now they will say Big B is the great star.
But South India has 500 crore telugu industry, equally big Tamil industry and kannada and malayalam industry also are big but RAJINI has won these four industries fans now there only four states watching RAJINI and 25 states watching BIG B.
So you decide who is big BIG B who has advantage of Hindi population which is big or RAJINI with small tamil population is great.
Now best actor is won by KAMAL HASAN no doubts about it now who is best star is the question. Anyhow Indians are the winners.

Answer depends up on the loyalty of fan but frankly speaking it is Amitabh as he is more versatile and commands bigger following across the globe. Rajni Kant is of course most handsomly paid Indian actor till date.

In terms of acting skills, I guess you shud compare with kamal hassan and Amitab...where Kamal obviously wins.With Rajni, Amitabh wins over acting!
But in terms of Mass crowd puller, Amitabh can't beat Rajni...Rajni is way far ahead than anyone else....
