.Right now i am happy because i woke up today ,i had food to eat i am what you consider poor but, I've lost many relatives and friends from being an addict but i have been clean 3 1/2 years i lost my so called friends because i don't do drugs any more , after 48 years of addiction i prayed to a higher power a seed was planted in my heart and soul that has blossomed to the original person i use to be , i can laugh, look at a rainbow, the sunsets type on a computer which i never gave a dam before,i try to help others , i can only hunt and peck , I'm very old now but i don't care what pains i have what my mental condition in recovery all the things you try to block out comes down on you like a wall of bricks it will take the rest of my life to keep it that way and you know i don't care because what physical, mental, sexually, abuse that happened i remember I'm not a victim , im a survivor life is to short for everyone

I wish i knew. It's been so long since I've had a genuine happy feeling let alone a really happy one. Maybe it was the last time I kissed each one of my childrens heads that made me really happy.

It was last Sunday on father's day. We got to see my grandson who we had not seen for 4 long years because his mother ran off with him when he was only 3 months old. I was so happy to see that he is well and smart and happy inspite of his mom.

3 weeks ago - My son and daughter in law gave me a grandaughter. I now have a grandson and a grandaughter. I have secretely wanted a girl since the birth of my twins (1983). I have never told a soul about wanting a girl. I havent much money - or nice clothes. But I have the best gift in the world - my family!!!!!!!

a hour age watching the joy on my babies face as she put a lid on a milk bottle.
seeing her pride as she manages things for the first time is awesome and makes me look at all the little things in a whole new light.
no matter how hard a day, seeing her look at the world with such innocent wonder puts it all back into perspective.

Some days for no apparent reason I feel very happy with life. I think it must be when my bio-rhythms are high.
