If George W. Bush decides to pardon Scooter Libby, he should go all the way and pardon all of the idiots who voted for him as well!

He should issue a "scorched earth" pardon or issue no pardon at all!

Shouldn't our AWOL-IN-CHIEF or PROTECTOR-IN-CHIEF or DECIDER-IN-CHIEF or BLUNDERER-IN-CHIEF be an equal opportunity PARDONER-IN-CHIEF ?

After all, it is continuing to be more obvious with each passing day that people couldn't have had any idea the blunder they were making when they voted for George W. Bush and ended up with Dick Cheney as president instead!

He'll pardon him but near to the end of his term when he thinks no one will be paying attention. We all deserve a pardon for putting up with the travesty of a Presidency
be that as it may, He claims he has not pardoned him because he wants him to go through the appeals process but under existing rules set out by the Dept of Justice for issuing Clemency ( Pardons)
1)Petitioner has to have gone to jail (" Scooter" will at least meet this requirement)
2)The pardon request has to be made at least five (5)years after the date of the release of the petitioner from confinement or, in case no prison sentence was imposed, until the expiration of a period of at least five (5) years after the date of the conviction of the petitioner. Generally, no petition should be submitted by a person who is on probation, parole, or supervised release.

These, ironically, are facts that Scooter Libby should know considering he was the one who submitted the clemency request for March Rich to President Bill Clinton

Primarily, these are the excuses Bush has used for not pardoning the two Border Patrol agents who were convicted for actually doing their job, which absolutely disgusts me but watch him with no compunction flout those same rules and standards he holds the Border agents to and pardon someone who lied and obstructed justice about something to do with National Security

Libby should NOT, under any circumstances, be pardoned. He was convicted by a jury of his peers, found guilty, and sentenced to prison time. With how close he was to the White House, it would be completely inappropriate, since it would completely be about loyalty, and not because the President thinks he deserves a second chance. A pardon to Libby would be to undermine justice. I'm sure there are far better people than Libby to pardon, people who have actually had the time to think about what they did, and someone who's life would actually benefit from a clean slate. Libby's going to get a book deal, regardless.

I'd like to point out that he was convicted of lying to authorities during an investigation, just like Martha Stewart was. He's much richer than Libby, and she didn't get a pardon. Maybe the President could wipe her felony off her record. And while Bush is at it, maybe he should just let Paris Hilton go to, because, you know, that'd be hot.

Well......someone voted for him. They had to recount several times till they came up with the one they wanted in the presidents seat. We all know who won! And you guys said it was important to get out there and vote!
I think I have made my point. Don't vote and really throw them in the hot seat! All they would get is their family and who in the senate liked them.
