i have a ip camera...i would like to share out over the internet...eg. when people type in an url, they can view from that cam...how am i sup to do it? thanks...

Well there are two ways to do this.

Most of the times your camera is connected to a local router. If that is the case you have to port forward the router to the camera you can then address it from the internet by using your assigned IP (which with DSL and cable does change on occassion.) So you have to register your IP address with a service that can find it! dyndns is one service which can locate you.. You can register with them and setup a "domain" name for your camera.

Method two.. You can get "Static" IP address from your ISP. It costs more but you can order it. You then register a URL (domain) with any domain registrar and point that domain to your IP.

Before you do that, be sure your ISP ALLOWS that. Some do not!

You can connect it with local router and set IP address to support that more people can enter into your monitoring
