Geryy McCann is full of himself....fact...I blame the parents absolutely for this happening. However, lets face it there is still a kidnapper/murderer out there, and so is Madeliene, whether dead or alive.

The parents should be brought back to the UK to face up to how irresponsible they were on that fateful night, and the kidnapper/murderer needs catching and stringing up by his balls.

I think the way the McCanns, both Gerry and Kate have behaved is , shall we say unusual, and certainly needs to be be investigated. Unfortunately Gerry McCann is that kind of person who will probably always have delusions of his own importance....but i dont think its that that has given Madeleine a disservice, its the way she was left alone in the hotel room with her baby sister and brother that has done that

Well, the excessive publicity hasn't helped has it? More likely to have sent the abductor well and truly underground. At this stage of the game it has also brought out the hoaxers.
Also at this stage of the game I am beginning to feel sorry for Kate McCann. She looks terrible and If I can see that then why can't her husband stop dragging her out for the cameras. He should be looking after her, but he too swept up in his own control freakery, so niether his wife nor his twins get a fair deal. I don't think that he looks terrible though.

Both The McCanns have done Madeleine a dis-service by their delusion of their own importance, to the point of child neglect. They left their children in a strange unlocked holiday apartment in a strange country.Their perpetual campaigning has not treally gained anything apart from Madeleine being so well publicised and easily recogninized by everyone ,it has also made the kidnappers pull back into the shadows, with this unexpected turn of events .I don't respect the Parents for their lack of parental skills. All they had to do was care for their 3 children whilst on holiday ,then leave them with the nanny back in England when they got home, need I say more ? Was that so difficult for them ?

We ALL make mistakes... The McCanns made one they will regret having made for the rest of their lives... going out to dinner and leaving their 3 babies alone in the hotel room. They will have to face a lot more, not less the fact that they will face Portuguese Law -- It is criminal, illegal, in Portugal to leave children alone at home. The hotel room where the McCanns were staying had a notice stuck to the it saying something like "IT IS AGAINST THE LAW IN PORTUGAL TO LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE IN HOTEL ROOMS. IF YOU ARE GOING OUT THIS HOTEL HAS VERY GOOD BABY-SITTER FACILITIES. SEE THE HOTEL RECEPTION "

Without a doubt, but it is not just him,it seems to be the whole Mc Cann clan. I would love to hear Kate talk, just once, in an open press conference with no Gerry there. Let her spill her thoughts and let the press ask the questions the british public want answers too.

The main "dis-service" was neglecting 3 children ....... but you are right - he has an air of self importance about him. I worked in the NHS for over 20 years & his demeanor is typical of many young consultants IMO. They would strut around with their nose, quite literally, in the air. They would talk to everyone else like underlings & often not be at all aware of how their apparent contempt came across to others. I liked to think that they were poor souls who needed a bit of a slap. There was one I worked with in Theatres - treated everyone else in such a terrible underhand way - eventually, he was struck off as his own self-importance landed him in too much trouble on numerous occasions - his colleagues just weren't prepared to bail him out any more.
Unfortunately, Monsieur McCann has this same arrogant appearance - the "bad smell under the nose" expression. Can't think he was born this way!
However, a ghastly experience for both doctors to undergo but not half so ghastly as poor Madeleine is going through. Sadly - a totally preventable situation.

I should think so. The probability of Madeleine being found alive after this amount of publicity is remote. The parents seem to think that plastering Maddy all over Europe will bring her back yet it is far more likely to get her killed. Who would want to drag a celebrity around the local neighbourhood if they knew that the punishment was a very long time in prison? People can be criminals without being utter morons.

Yes it has done Madeleine a huge dis-service for a start it made the poor child too hot to handle with all the publicity, it goes to prove that money does not buy everything.

I believe it has. Even most McCann sympathisers wonder at some of his comments on his blog, such as referring to his surprise at a smaller than expected private plane being left to his disposal and rarely does he mention his missing daughter, Madeleine. His whole demeaner, which often appears arrogant, is off-putting to some people.
