It's an interesting story for sure but why doesn't the world care about the thousands of kids that go missing all the time. Why don't they care about the kids that die of hunger? This one little girl from a rich white family blasted across the media has caught the attention of all the soap opera fans. While your neighbor beats his kid every night you sit and worry about someone on the other side of the world only because the news people knew that you were like this. More news just after this word from our sponsors. Pepsi. McDonalds. The Enquirer. Sony Music. Back to the show. blah blah blah.

Please don't be offended by what I say. If follwoing this story is the way you relax after work then you deserve to relax. But if you really care about children, don't you think there are better ways to help this child and so many others out there?

7 children were apparently left home alone a few days ago while the parents went out on the town. They played with matches and the house caught on fire. 2 8 year olds got out but the remainder of the children aged 3-7 perished in the fire. I posted about this and got little comments about it and I believe on 1 post I got slammed from a mccann supporter yet I never mentioned the McCanns name and I believe on the other one only again to have 1 or 2 people following the McCann case and commenting on it made a statement. So yes why are other stories of neglect and missing children not getting as much attention? I have that very same question. Oh there was the 2 year old that got beat to death by her dad last week or the week before and that got little attention from YA.

I fear you should be directing your question to the powers in the media , They decide what we read and what we listen to

Why don't you ask them ?

Yes we should help more children that's why there are numerous organisations around that do help them sadly though there is too much for them do . I would love to help them but I am too busy raising and worrying about my own family . Oh and I have to do the day job

i understand what your saying i have just returned from my holidays and we saw kids who were going through bins , sleeping rough and begging
some of these kids were as young as 4 years old and were in danger of peadophiles violence and illnesses
it really bothered me as all children are important regardless of their class or colour
many british people just walked past them or shooed them away
we should care about all children
