In the last day or so heavy rain has flooded my shed but that's my fault because I left the doors open and it's also soaked some curtains but again, that's my fault for leaving windows open.

Longer term, I love to go skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing etc and each winter I used to go to Scotland 3 or 4 times (I'm in England) and you could almost guarantee there would be plenty of snow and ice. These past few years the winters have been very mild and conditions haven't been favourable, it's been bad news for the ski resorts and tourist trade.

Even when we go to the Alps we've had to start progessively higher up the mountains to reach the snow and ice.

On the positive side, recent summers have generally been warmer, sunnier and somewhat drier than previously which is good for mountain biking, rock climbing etc so whilst winter sports have been adversely affected the summer sports I engage in have been positively affected.

Oh yeah, I've got more money because the hotter weather means lower heating bills. And my job has been affected, part of it is to study weather patterns so if they change my job changes.
