Lets put it this way! he is good for 2 hours on his tank of air! After that theirs no hope as he will suffocate any ways and die or he will have drifted off by the time they realize that hes detached. so No!

well what would happen is that they would just turn off the machine that makes them float, as it's all filmed in Area 52 and then the chap would just fall to the floor with bit of a bang.
