Computers are an invention rather than discovery I would think.
There are several people who are often claimed to be the "Father of computers/computing"
Alan Turing, von Neumann ,Charles Babbage (because of his much earlier attempts) have all being given the honor.
It all depends on your definition of what a computer is.
Most I think would give Turning and von Neumann joint honours and Babbage as the grandfather of computers.

Computers will been work on for the government military as far back as 1941. In Britain, the first computer was built by royal electrical mechanical engineers.The first computer was extremely heavy and large, at the same time the rest of the world Japan, America, Russia was also designing computers. Over the years the computer has develop astronomicaly to what it is today.But i believe this is not the end science will carry on developing until the human is chipped so that he will carry a built in computer. ..

Well, one of the very first computers to come on the market was a TRS-80 by Tandy. They sucked.
"RadioShack was one of the companies (along with Commodore International and Apple) that started the personal computer revolution, with their TRS-80 (1977) and TRS-80 Color Computer ("CoCo") (1980) line of home computers. Later Tandy adopted the IBM PC architecture."
