I recently got my car head gasket replaced. This morning after having to drive to work through large puddles, i pulled into the car park and the stop sign in my dashboard started flashing!! Could this be something to do with driving through the puddles or something else?

If it never did that before, and only happened AFTER a puddle, it means water got into your brake sensors, and it's telling the car computer "bad brakes! bad brakes!"

If it stops after drying out, you're fine. Else, be careful with your braking.

some cars are fitted with brake pad sensors which illuminate the brake warning light on the dash, it may be that the water from the puddles shorted this to earth or maybe the pads nead changing and some dirt was stopping the sensors from grounding out and warning you and the water washed it out, either way it is best to take it in and get it checked out as any thing that makes the warning light come on neads to be addressed imediately as although it could be nothing it could also be something important, your brakes should be treated as the most important system on your car because without them you can't stop.

if your emergency light says stop then stop it's as easy as that
the stop light doesn't just refer to your brakes it's also an engine warning light there could be somthing wrong with your engine
leave the car standing for about half an hour then try it agian if the light comes on again then get it checked by a registered mechanic as it is possible that the blown head gasket was just a symptom of something else wrong with the car
