wifi is a posh way of saying wireless. Its just to annoy us and make us buy more useless crap we dont need from PC world.

So Wifi = wireless.... simple

I think the term wireless means whichever communications tools you have that require no wire; example a cordless telephone is called wireless. The term Wifi generally referred to the connection between two computer parts; specifically used for connecting LAN: local area network.

WiFi is a standard within the various wireless standards. Think of it as wireless Ethernet.

You need a router, lan card or wireless adapter; or pc laptop with wi fi built in. Set up your router and wi fi contraptions, configure your network and bob's your uncle. I didn't know there was a difference between wi fi and wireless..
