Apparently they now think that left-handed people were twins, one of which was lost 'in utero'. Seems identical twins 'mirror each other ie., one left-hand and one right-hand. I think its a feasable explanation.

I am left handed, but I've never had any problems like people trying to make me change to being right handed or anything. I did know someone who was made to write with his right hand from an early age even though he was left handed. He had the worst writing I had ever seen! I don't know why people have a problem with lefties, I always thought it was a bit stupid personally - why does it matter which hand you write/eat etc with?

No I'm not but my 11yr old daughter is and you are right, it is frowned upon. She has never been allowed to use her left hand while doing school work which i strongly disagree with. This now means she is ambidextrous, which i suppose comes in handy if you get writers cramp.

In medieval times they would use lefthandedness as an excuse to be burnt at the stake as a witch because the devil was supposedly left handed or some other c rap...

I'm ampidextrous (both handed) but I often use my left because I like being in minority...

I was born right handed but when I was a bairn I saw a programme about a girl who had an accident and her right hand amputated. They estimated it would take her ten years to learn to write again.

I was horrified, ten years without being able to write so I started to teach myself to write with my left hand and every once in a while I practise and I have quite neat handwriting with both hands now, so you could say I'm artificially ambidextrous.

Yep, I'm left-handed!

I don't care if I'm frowned upon - they're just jealous they can't write with their left hand :D

Because when you get down to it, an extremely high proportion of the world's high achievers in sports, science, politics, the arts etc have been and continue to be left handed!
So what if we appear to die younger..We have one heck of a life first!!!

I am left hand dominant, but I write right handed. I can also write upside down!

When I wash my hands, I always grab with my left hand and "wonder" why I burn my hand with all this hot water...
