does anybody believe that janice dickinson was the worlds 1st top model ? i dont ! ive never even heard of her untill she started doing beauty and the best !

No... Twiggy was definitely before her...That is why Tyra Banks decision to replace Janice with Twiggy was so controversial, because it openly forced Janice to shut up about her stupid claim, as Twiggy was all over magazines in the 60s and such as the first true top model. Plus, her look (the "twiggy" thin look was so different than the other models at the time, that she really stood out and made an impression). Janice just looked like everyone else in the late 70s and 80s... except I think she wasn't as pretty than a lot of them. I mean her younger friend Gia Carangi and same age Cindy Crawford TOTALLY outshine her in pics they took together.
Some people say that 1950s model Suzy Parker had "supermodel" status... but I don't agree. She was a classic pin-up at best.

Hey, there are a lot of better models than her in this world so unless she can prove that she's really the world's first top model, I don't think people believe her.

no she really wasnt. she just claims she is because that's the only fame she has. i would consider that to be and insult to myself. she's like admitting she's old enough to be a great grandmother

Yes, she WAS the very first TOP model. She was also the muse for the famous fashion designers. Her photo was in all of the magazines, often on the COVER.
She was on ALL of the magazine covers during her time at the TOP.
