just curious if anyone else ever tried chewing gum while cutting onions it supposibly helps you from crying . i tried it and it didn't help me . damn liers who ever made up that sh it

yeah, I tried that too, it doesn't work but I guess you know that. I make my husband cut them now..lol

I haven't tried that nor heard of it , I suppose though if I could do that maybe I could move on to bigger things , like chewing gum while walking and all that too . This could lead to a major breakthrough for me , thank you so much , the sky is my limit now : ) there is no stopping me now unless something stands in my way .

I've heard the same thing about sniffing lemons while cutting onions but I haven't tried that either.

I never heard of chewing gum while peeling onions. Just put them under running water while slicing them.

Just the sound of that ideal tells me it will not work. Get a food chopper it is much easier and faster.
