Libby did nothing wrong. All we have here is a witch hunt by the liberal media that is determined to get dirt on Bush and his administration. Since they can't get any, they fabricated a story and blew some events which were true out of proportion.

Agree?

Rush Limbaugh made some good comments on this:

Libby took a bullet for Cheney whose orders he was following. It was Bush and Cheney who hung him out to dry, not the news media. He should be and will be pardoned.

Scooter lied to the grand jury was convicted by his peers in a speedy trail which is way more then what is offered to other people by this administration.

A Patriot? What benefits were afforded to the United Sates of America, by the lies of Scooter Libby, an expensive and false war? On the contrary it should be treason.

There was no under lying crime, and was there any for Clinton. In fact it was only a civil case, while Scooter's was a criminal case.

Fairness:
Scooter got a speedy trail, right for representation, a conviction by peers.
Clinton was acquitted by the Senate. Found in contempt of the Court paid the fine, lost his legal license and resigned from the Supreme Court Bar.
In both cases all the things happened by the procedures of law.

Should he be pardoned?
No, he should serve the sentence he got because I'm sure the appeals will show that there wasn't any miscalculation of the law.

Does the President have a right to pardon him?
Absolutely, and he can pardon anyone he likes. There may be some political challenges if he does but I think with his 28% approval rating, the challenges would be sever if he didn't pardon him.

I see his approval rating going down if he doesn't pardon him rather than if he pardons him. Since this is a popular republican issue and the 28% support he has, would be repulican.

I don't exactly agree, but close. Libby was primarily convicted for saying "I don't know". You don't hear much about that in the media. So much for the media telling the truth.

He should be pardoned, hell he should be aquitted.

Nobody in their right mind will ever willingly testify in one of these witch hunts again because of this. They found the answers they needed in the first month and Libby's conviction had nothing to do with the original investigation. The investigation should have ended many months before Libby even testified. They are pulling the same crap with Alberto Gonzales, but now they have to give immunity just to get any testimony.

And to all those idiots saying Libby leaked Valerie Plames identity. WAKE UP AND FIND OUT THE FACTS. Libby was not the leak, duh.

Scooter Libby fell on a sword for Pres Bush. Leaking a CIA agent's name, according to Pres George HW Bush, could be considered an act of treason!

Libby is no patriot and he should not be pardoned, unless you want to put the final nail into the Republicans coffin!

Who cares what Limbaugh says. He was probably high at the time!

No one fabricated a "story" and he was CONVICTED BY A JURY OF HIS PEERS!

Limbaugh is no patriot either!

You'd better get used to it. There's no good that'll come from letting it raise your blood pressure.

The mainstream media is infested with nicegood liberals, as you say. Do not expect any Republican or conservative to get a fair deal, and you won't be disappointed.

But it's changing. Why do you think Fox News is the subject of such absolutely stunning behavior? Forget Keith Olbermann, he's going to start wearing his tinfoil hat on the air just any day now.

Presidential candidates refusing to debate on Fox? It's not faaaaaiiiir!?? Even IF it was somehow less fair than Hissy Chrissy Matthews, deal with it. It has the biggest audience, including lots of liberals, and, how in the world will you deal with Ahmadenijad or Kim Jong Il if you're afraid of Fox?

If you can't get your message through a "hostile" Brit Hume, you really shouldn't be negotiating on behalf of the United States.

And yes, I agree, Libby got screwed by Fitzfong. Libby goes to prison, Sandy Burglar stands to be National Security Advisor in a Clinton Administration. It's enough to make a man throw-up.

But don't let it raise your blood pressure.

I guess then it is OK for Libby and others to break the law? They can out CIA agents or anyone who dares to question the House of Bush and Cheney. Years ago Oliver North broke the law but it ok he all in the name of National Security and make Ollie a hero. Am sure that Rush is correct because he knows all about "drug laws."

The liberal media? The one owned by multinational corporations? Get over your persecution complex...sheesh. Even when you had the White House and Congress, the liberal menace was keeping the GOP from governing...if you are intellectually honest you don't believe that Scooter Libby is a patriot...the Plame affair is secondary to the fact that he lied and obstructed a federal investigation...just like Clinton, yes...were you braying for his pardon?

Cooter made the statements, there is no denying that. So he is very guilty, period. An employee of the gov't leaking information about an active CIA agent to the media. How pathetic, sad and inexcusable! Cooter may as well have been leaking industrial and defense secrets to our enamies!

Cooter will most likely be pardoned by the 'commander in thief' because he is taking the fall for following orders from the top. If W doesn't pardon him then he will spill all the Texas baked beans.

Hmmm I wasn't aware that the "Liberal Media" were the ones prosecuting this case. In fact I wasn't even aware that they had a law degree, let alone the power to send someone to jail.

I guess you DO learn something new every day.

Then Clinton did nothing wrong either. They both lied to a grand jury, but Scooter lied to the investigators also and tried to block them.

Cons sure love their hypocrisy, I swear you guys would marry it if you could.

A Flush Limpballs link has as much credibility as Duke Cunningham's tax return.

Who knows? This whole thing is a mess. How can you try someone on charges which rely on a classified document that you won't declassify? Then again, if wrongly convicted I have to think that he will win an appeal.
